But I went out and ran 19km and did it with a smile in my face. I did it by dedicating the run to a dear friend of mine, Jan, who just passed away after a long and courageous battle with a brain tumor. Having her with me in the run, she provided me with strength to continue through blisters, mud, rain and pain and come away with an appreciation of life. It also really confirmed in me a desire to run and do triathlons for those who can't, so I'lll be looking into causes I can support for future races. Thank-you Jan and may you Rest In Peace.
This morning I had a 1:45 minute run scheduled, and with a few things that have been going on lately, I really did not think that I was in the right space to complete it.
